From July 25-29, anyone interested in Shelby Senior Services activities can stop by from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to check out what’s going on, no membership required, according to a flyer.
Events on the organization’s calendar for this week include a craft session on Wednesday, July 27 at 1:30 p.m. and a fun Friday on Friday, July 29 at 9 a.m.
Attendees of the craft session will make a snowman ornament each year for the Elder Services places in the tree at the Grover Center. This event is free and interested persons are invited to confirm their attendance.
Attendees of the Fun Friday event will be able to play bingo, sponsored by Caregiver Homes, and celebrate Umbrella Day. Prizes will be awarded during the Bingo game.
“Let’s have fun with our best umbrellas and rain gear,” the staff said in the July newsletter. “Bring an umbrella to show off and come join the fun.”
