Free Hamble Sports Complex membership for people with Parkinson’s disease
PEOPLE living with Parkinson’s disease will be able to enjoy free membership at a Hamble Leisure Center from next week.
Hamble Sports Complex is taking part in a new initiative alongside the charity Parkinson’s UK which will be launched across the UK on World Parkinson’s Day on Monday 11 April.
Free membership to the Everyone Active facility will provide access to group gym, swimming, and exercise classes.
People with Parkinson’s find a variety of activities, from walking to dancing, beneficial for managing their symptoms.

Chris West, contract manager for Everyone Active, said: “We want to encourage the whole Parkinson’s community to exercise and believe we have an activity for everyone, whatever your age, ability or background. fitness level.
“Being more active will help members live well with Parkinson’s, improve physical fitness and mental well-being, and have fun.
“We are extremely proud to launch this partnership with Parkinson’s UK and hope it will make a real difference in the lives of many people.”
All members will also be offered a personalized exercise prescription through EXi, an exercise recommendation platform, with online Synergy Dance classes also available.
Complimentary Caregiver Membership will be available if required.
